If I Were a Rose

If I Were a Rose

If I were a rose, think of all the good I would do
I would be a source of contentment for the loyal gardener
A source of life on otherwise lifeless graves
A symbol of love in a tender relationship
A prayer for strength to the one fighting for life in a hospital
A dash of excitement for a secret Valentine

I want to be that rose
I want to grow straight and tall
To make the people around me smile
Or cry tears of joy
Or take comfort and solace at the sight of me
And to give people hope when they have none

Lord, help me to be all you want me to be
Help me to be the rose

Is that your rose you put in your house?

This is a rose Phil cut for me from some roses at his dad's house. I put it in the smallest vase and in that photo it is on the counter in the kitchen.

By the way, thanks for the postcard! I got it yesterday. It always brightens my day! And the photo looked like a beautiful place to be. One of those places where you can imagine you are it in relaxation pose in yoga ;) !

Now you don't have to buy flowers from the florist!! Any flowers/ plants from the garden, freshly pick is the best! Flowers are also one of the best deco you can put anywhere! I am glad you liked the postcard :) Send my regards to Phil!
