Sugar Love

Sounds like a title for a song, doesn't it (and who knows, maybe there is a song with that title in it...), "Sugar Love"?

The reason I am writing this blog entry is because I guess you could say I am addicted to junk food!  Not all "junk" food (and I guess what one considers "junk" food may not be considered junk to another) but I particularly love candy.  All types of candy - gummy candy, chocolate candy, fruity candy, crunchy candy - you name it, as long as it doesn't have nuts in it, I probably like it.

However it is one thing to love something like that, and another thing to love it and indulge in it too much.  Not a day goes by where I don't eat candy.  And again - it would be one thing if I could say, "I only have one piece of candy a day / one after a meal" but usually it is, "I had many pieces of candy throughout the day!"

I exercise at least 1/2 hour a day - I usually aim for an hour but not always able to do so.  Now if I could just begin to eat healthier, I think I could reach my fitness goals!  Plus it would help prevent diabetes, a disease prevalent in the health history of my father's family.

I read often about nutrition and exercise, so it is not out of ignorance I am a junk-food junkie - it is from needing help telling sugar "NO!"

Do you have any tips I can try to help give up the "sugar love???"
